During the Gala Dinner of the 15th International Conference “Mechanical Technologies and Structural Materials” (MTSM 2026), held in Split, Croatia, Dr. Eng. Massimo Rogante received a Certificate of Appreciation for his “long years of support, dedication, and valuable contribution” to the MTSM International Conference.
The recognition was presented to two personalities who have played an important role in the development of the Conference over the years: Prof. Dražen Živković, regarded as the father of MTSM, and Dr. Massimo Rogante.
Receiving the award alongside Prof. Živković made the occasion particularly meaningful. The unexpected recognition acknowledges Dr. Rogante’s long-standing commitment to MTSM and the scientific and technological cooperation developed by the Rogante Engineering Office with the Croatian scientific and engineering community over three decades.
Over the years, this cooperation has extended beyond science and engineering, developing into lasting professional and personal relationships with Croatia and, in particular, with Dalmatia. Press release: Sveučilište u Splitu. |

The 15th International Conference “Mechanical Technologies and Structural Materials” (MTSM 2026) was successfully held on 17–18 September 2026 in Split, Croatia, organized by the Croatian Society for Mechanical Technologies in cooperation with the Rogante Engineering Office and various international academic and scientific institutions.
Dr. Eng. Massimo Rogante served on both the Scientific and Organizing Committees, continuing the Rogante Engineering Office’s long-standing collaboration with the Croatian and international scientific communities.
Researchers and engineers from different countries presented studies covering advanced mechanical technologies, structural materials, energy and bioengineering, manufacturing processes, computational methods, tribology, additive manufacturing and related fields.
Dr. Rogante contributed to the conference with the presentation “Multi-scale neutron investigation of failure mechanisms in double-row ball bearings made of 100Cr6 high carbon chromium steel for automotive application”. He was also co-author of three further scientific papers, including a feasibility study on the application of neutron techniques to innovatively manufactured high entropy alloys (HEAs), as well as two studies concerning the microstructure, phase transformations and welding behaviour of special high-strength steels.
With MTSM 2026, the Rogante Engineering Office has reached the milestone of participation in 29 international conferences held in Dalmatia, confirming its long-standing commitment to international scientific cooperation and technological development, with particular emphasis on advanced applications of neutron techniques in engineering materials.

Neutron Techniques for Future Health: Rogante Engineering Office at the MLZ Conference 2026.
From 6 to 9 July 2026, Dr. Massimo Rogante, Partner of the COST Action SENESCENCE2030 (CA23119) , attended the International Conference “Neutrons for Future Health”, held at Schloss Fürstenried, Munich (Germany). During the conference, he delivered the oral contribution entitled ”Presentation of the COST Action SENESCENCE2030 and of the advantages provided by Neutron Techniques”, prepared in collaboration with Dr. Katrin Dreissigacker. The contribution illustrated how advanced neutron techniques can complement conventional imaging methods in the study of cellular senescence, human organoids and other biological systems relevant to healthy ageing.
The conference also provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen existing international collaborations and establish new scientific contacts with researchers working in neutron science, medicine, biology and advanced biomedical characterization.
The event confirmed the growing international interest in multidisciplinary approaches integrating neutron science with biomedical research, opening new perspectives for future collaborations in ageing research and future health.

Presentation of the “Rogante” Method in North Macedonia.
On 12 February 2026, the seventh linguistic edition of the “Rogante” Study Method was officially presented in Veles (North Macedonia), marking its first publication in the Macedonian language.
The event was hosted by the Goce Delčev Library, in collaboration with the Writers’ Association Kosta Solev Racin. During the presentation, the author introduced the methodological framework underlying the project, based on a scientifically structured organization of the learning process and developed as a non-commercial cultural initiative, freely accessible within the broader paradigm of open education.
The initiative received coverage from national media in North Macedonia, reflecting the interest generated within the educational and cultural community.
The Macedonian edition represents a further step in the Method’s progressive international development, following earlier publications in English, Greek, Ukrainian, Italian, Turkish and Hungarian. Additional language versions are currently under preparation in other European and Mediterranean contexts.
The event in Veles contributed to strengthening cross-cultural academic dialogue and reaffirmed the project’s orientation toward open knowledge, international cooperation and the shared objective of supporting students through scientifically grounded methodological tools. Participation of Eng. Massimo Rogante, as Keynote Lecturer and Session Chair, at the 15th Int. Scientific Conference STRUCTURAL MATERIALS 2025, Bratislava, 11 November 2025. Dr. Rogante delivered a keynote presentation titled “Advanced characterization by atomic (neutron) techniques: probing nano/micro-structural parameters with real-world impact”.
